Ambrose Printing Company began in 1865 as "The American Book & Job Office" in Nashville, Tennessee. In 1886, Joshua Henry Ambrose, then Secretary-Treasurer of the Nashville Chattanooga & St Louis Railroads, purchased the small printing office to print railroad tariffs.
The company was profitable and soon Joshua's brothers, James and Albert, joined him from England to help with the business. As operations grew steadily, the Ambrose brothers purchased substantial interests in the company, which was incorporated in 1905 under the name of "Ambrose & Bostleman". Very soon afterwards, the present name, "Ambrose Printing Company", was adopted. The names as well as the spirit of our founders live on in our company today.
Many changes have occurred at Ambrose Printing
Company since 1865. We have continued to keep pace with the latest printing technology, but we also value the most precious resource of a good craftsman -- experience. Our pressmen's years of service at Ambrose range from 40 years to 4, with the average being 17 years.
Ambrose Printing Company is a progressive firm, willing and able to meet the changing needs of our customers. We are proud of our heritage and the stability that comes with over
140 years of continuous operation. Try us for your next printing project and discover for yourself why we've been in business so long.
